This log home was built by Coventry Log Homes. The company has over twenty years of experience in the log home industry. This log home company is a family run business that started off with Jim Elliott working in the log home industry in Woodsville, New Hampshire while his children were still young. Then his two boys Jeff and Mark became a part of the business too. When Jim decided he wanted to work fewer hours or possibly retire, son, Jeff decided to start his own log home business, and thus Coventry Log Homes was founded. He hired his younger brother, Mark, and the company became incorporated in 1994 naming himself president and Mark, the vice president.

The first years found Jeff drafting log homes, handling sales and figuring out and ordering log home building materials. Mark worked the log mill, and Jeff helped there when needed. After a couple of years, they hired a sales person who also performed the duties of a receptionist-secretary who organized data on prospects and stuffing envelopes with their log home marketing materials. When an extra log mill guy was hired, Mark was able to work in sales, prepare to log home materials lists and do the ordering. A log home draftsman was the next person to hire which freed Jeff to concentrate on expanding Coventrys line of log home products and services. It's nice to deal with a company that has been together from the start, and a log home company that is family run.

There are over 60 models of log homes in five separate categories with the Craftsman log home, Tradesman log home, Cabin, and Recreational Camp Series as well as log home additions and garages. When it comes to building a log home, there are several types of log home designs and styles available. Some of the log homes you will hear about are handcrafted log homes and log cabins, to milled log homes, to hewn logs and sawn log homes. Handcrafted log homes are typically logged homes that are made from logs that have been hand peeled and look pretty much unchanged from what they looked like as trees. Milled log homes are log homes that are built with logs that have been run through a manufacturing process which converts them into timbers which are consistent in size and appearance.
