Dreamy Orange Creamsicle Shake

Dreamy Orange Creamsicle Shake

Orange creamsicles are one of those ice cream treats that take us back to childhood. If you love orange creamsicles, you are going to fall in love with this dreamy orange dreamsicle shake recipe!

You might already know this, but the original Creamsicle was made by Popsicle. Creamsicle is a trademark and no other ice cream company can call their frozen dessert by this name. It is a frozen dessert recipe with a vanilla ice cream core and a fruit sherbet coating. We always think of Creamsicles as being orange, but they also come in other colors and flavors from blue, red and purple.

As for this delicious dessert recipe, it takes just three basic recipe ingredients and only a few minutes to whip up this delectable and creamy frozen treat. Yes, it is served cold, as any Creamsicle inspired recipe should be. The ingredients you will need for this orange Creamsicle shake recipe include some International Delight fat free and sugar free French vanilla creamer, orange juice frozen into ice cubes, sugar free whipped cream, and fresh orange slices (optional).

To start this recipe you want to combine the creamer and the orange juice cubes in a blender, use the blender pusher or scrape down the sides until the mixture is smooth. Add additional creamer or milk if you need to thin it out a bit more. Then pour some of the shake into the bottom of a glass. Then add some whipped cream. Then add some more shake, and then add another spoonful of whipped cream. You can give the shake a light stir to swirl the whipped cream and shake together. Add some of the shake and top it off with a bit more whipped cream and a fresh orange slice. Then repeat until all the glasses are filled. Serve and enjoy.

A little recipe tip if you would like your Creamsicle shakes to look more orange, add a few drops of orange food coloring. Another recipe tip is if you don't have the time to freeze the orange juice, you can always use some regular ice cubes in your mixture. Be aware that the flavor of the shake recipe will be more mild due to the addition of ice.
