Custom Crafted Lakefront Log Home
Thinking of building a custom log cabin and don’t know where in the world to start? Then you might want to check out this Custom Crafted Lakefront Log Home! Building your own log cabin is an exciting undertaking, but it can be more than a little overwhelming. Why? Because many of us don’t realize how many factors need to be taken into consideration when we build a new home from scratch. The first thing we need to think about is the location! Location is everything when it comes to building any new home, but for a log cabin home, it is even more critical. That’s because log cabins, more than anything, really need to be built in nature. The more rustic and beautiful the setting, the better!
Once you have your location picked out, the next step is to figure out the cabin will be situated on the property. What area will work best for the entrance? What will work best for the backyard? Where is the best view? Where are south, west, north, and east? All of these questions will help you decide where the front and back doors will go, as well as the windows and the rooms of the house. For the best light, it’s best if your home faces south – that way there will be light coming in at all times of the day. Quite often the living room, or the Great Room, will be located near the front of the home, and the bedrooms at the back, where it is cozy and quiet. The window with the best view would be located in the Great Room, so when people gather there, they can enjoy looking outside.
